Independent, and built to remain so.
WintWuest Capital was founded by its partners to manage capital the way they manage their own — because it is their own.
A research habit that became a firm.
The firm grew out of years of private research across energy markets, rates and currencies — work done first for its own sake, then for its founders’ capital. The fund is the formalisation of that habit: one vehicle, WintWuest Capital Fund LP, structured in the Cayman Islands with a Swiss office in Zug, open to a limited number of investors who want the same discipline applied to theirs.
The firm is at the beginning of its public record. It intends to build that record slowly, and to be judged on it.
Four principles, in writing.
Process over prediction
The firm does not claim foresight. It claims a process that is followed when foresight fails.
Preservation before participation
The first question asked of any position is what it can lose, not what it can make.
Research is the product
Everything else — structure, execution, reporting — exists to put research to work.
Discretion as a duty
Clients’ affairs are private. So, largely, is the firm’s. Publicity is not a business objective.
Our capital and our clients’ capital are the same capital.
The firm is owned entirely by its three founders, through a holding company in Zug. There are no external shareholders and no distribution incentives.
The founders invest their own capital in the fund alongside clients — same fund, same terms, pari passu.
None. The founders pay no management fee and no performance fee on their own investment.
Every decision about client capital is a decision the partners take about their own.
